More than Stones - Singing Stones

21-8_4A-Counihan_11_edited.jpg

More than Stones is an installation that contemplates the dynamic nature of clay as an ‘alive’ medium, through clay in various forms from the artist’s home Country (Yuggera). Incorporating clay pigments, clay bodies and charcoal gathered respectfully after rainy periods on Country, clay fired into coolamon vessels, and audio storytelling, Rallah’s More than stones foregrounds clay’s role as a cultural facilitator.
